'''LIBRIS''' ('''Library Information System''') is a [[Sweden|Swedish]] national [[union catalogue]] maintained by the [[National Library of Sweden]] in [[Stockholm]].<ref name="ne"/> It is possible to freely search about 6.5 million titles nationwide.<ref name="libris-help"/>

In addition to bibliographic records, one for each book or publication, LIBRIS also contains an [[authority file]] of people. For each person there is a record connecting name, birth and occupation with a unique identifier.{{citation needed|date=August 2012|reason=These records are linked by VIAF but not accessible via the LIBRIS user interface, so it would be useful to have a reliable source mentioning them.}}

The [[MARC standards|MARC Code]] for the Swedish Union Catalog is SE-LIBR, normalized: selibr.<ref name="LOC-MARC"/>
