It is the upper one in a system of the interconnected lakes: Khar-Us, [[Khar Nuur, Khovd|Khar]], [[Dörgön Nuur|Dörgön]], [[Airag Nuur|Airag]] and [[Khyargas Nuur|Khyargas]].

Primary [[Inflow (hydrology)|inflow]] is the [[Khovd River]], which creates a large [[river delta]].
