is a [[Politics of Poland|Polish]] [[politician]]. In the years 2004-2009 he was a
[[Member of the European Parliament]] (MEP) for the [[Greater Poland Voivodship]]
with the [[Self-Defense of the Polish Republic|Self-Defense]], a [[Non-Inscrits|Non-Inscrit]] in the [[European Parliament]].

Masiel was in a [[Committee on Employment and Social Affairs]], and was a substitute
for the [[Committee on Petitions]] and the [[European Parliament Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety|Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety]]. Masiel was also
a member of the Delegation to the [[European Union|EU]]-[[Romania]] Joint Parliamentary Committee.
