It is typical of mid-20th-century views of [[Native Americans in the United States|Native American]]s, and is sometimes considered [[racism|racist]] and demeaning from a contemporary perspective, although others see it as a mildly [[satire|satirical]] attack on [[Ethnic stereotype|racial stereotyping]].
