'''Corydallus''' or '''Korydallos''' ({{langx|grc|Κορυδαλλός}}) was a [[deme]] of [[ancient Attica]], at the foot of the mountain of the same name, and is placed by [[Strabo]] between [[Thria (Attica)|Thria]] and [[Peiraeeus]], near the straits of [[Salamis Bay|Salamis]], opposite the islands of [[Pharmacussae]].<ref>{{Cite Strabo|ix. p.395}}</ref> This position is in accordance with the account of [[Diodorus]],<ref>{{Cite Diodorus|4.59}}</ref> who, after relating the contest of [[Theseus]] with [[Cercyon of Eleusis|Cercyon]], which, according to [[Pausanias (geographer)|Pausanias]],<ref>{{Cite Pausanias|1|39|3}}</ref> took place to the west of [[Eleusis]], says that Theseus next killed [[Procrustes]], whose abode was in Corydallus.
