==Snowboarding career==
She began [[snowboarding]] at 15 years old, and joined a racing club in 1995.<ref name="UBC100208"/> By the 2000s, she was coached by [[Mark Fawcett (snowboarder)|Mark Fawcett]];<ref name="Straight091104"/> she also counted [[Jasey-Jay Anderson]] among her mentors.<ref name="Scout091201"/>
