'''402 Chloë''' ([[Minor planet provisional designation|''prov. designation'']]: {{mp|A895 FB}} ''or'' {{mp|1895 BW}}) is a large [[Asteroid belt|main-belt]] [[asteroid]]. It was discovered by French astronomer [[Auguste Charlois]] on 21 March 1895 from [[Nice]].<ref name="jpldata" /> This asteroid is orbiting the [[Sun]] at a distance of {{val|2.56|ul=AU}} with a [[orbital period|period]] of {{convert|1495.5|days|years|2|disp=out|abbr=off}} and an [[orbital eccentricity|eccentricity]] of 0.11. The [[orbital plane]] is inclined at an angle of 11.8° to the [[plane of the ecliptic]].<ref name="jpldata"/>

This asteroid spans a girth of approximately 54&nbsp;km.<ref name="jpldata"/> It is classified as a [[K-type asteroid]] and is a [[234 Barbara|Barbarian]], which means it belongs to a class of asteroids of which 234 Barbara is the prototype.<ref name=Gil-Hutton_et_al_2014/> Analysis of the asteroid [[light curve]], based on [[Photometry (astronomy)|photometric]] data collected during 2009, show a [[rotation period]] of {{val|10.664|0.001|u=hours}} with a brightness variation of {{val|0.30|0.01}} in [[apparent magnitude|magnitude]].<ref name=Warner2009/>
