I haven’t said it has Mediterranean climate, but a Mediterranean pattern!

Which the winters are wetter than the summers!! דולב חולב (talk) 16:50, 4 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Stuff on Wikipedia is ideally based on WP:RELIABLESOURCES, not our own judgement. If you can bring a reliable source that says the city has a "Mediterranean rainfall pattern", or a similarly reliable source that defines such a pattern to include a city of this precipitation regime, your edit would likely be accepted. Alexandroupolis first of all, look at this Mediterranean climate pattern or every other city with a Mediterranean climate.
and on the other hand, look at Atlanta with summers a bit wetter than winters.
so Pula has a climate combining those two. דולב חולב (talk) 00:33, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sort of, but that doesn't matter. What matters is sources; do you have any reliable sources to bring to the table about Mediterranean rainfall patterns, where they start and end? If not, your edits can be challenged and/or deleted on Wikipedia. Uness232 (talk) 01:34, 5 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Look, Atlanta , a well known Humid subtropical climate, has a pretty equal rainfall throughout the year, a peak in July. Same as Charlotte, North Carolina. Another well known humid subtropical city. This climate type used has a summer peak. If Pula has wetter winters and drier summers, that making it a bit similar to Split, Croatia a Mediterranean climate city. דולב חולב (talk) 15:26, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Not all humid subtropical climates have a summer peak. Kutaisi has a winter maximum for example. So do many places in Japan. That doesn’t matter though, your opinions are not reliable sources. Material needs to be cited to reliable sources on Wikipedia. Uness232 (talk) 15:52, 6 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
It’s not my opinion, it’s a known fact 😤🙄 דולב חולב (talk) 23:25, 8 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sure. Bring me sources and I'll accept this change. Uness232 (talk) 01:47, 9 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Comments and questions on the article

1. "The Venetians took over Pula in 1331 and would rule the city until 1797."

The previous section already says the above so the sentence is redundant.

2. The section on the population talks about "local Italians". Why is that "local" has to accompany Italian and other people like Slovenians don't have it? I don't get the point.

3. "The windows of the aisles underwent reconstruction in Gothic style after a fire in 1242. The belfry in front of the church was built between 1671 and 1707 using stones from the amphitheatre."

Which amphitheatre?

4. "Transforming the fortress into the aquarium has been in progress since 2002."

Is it still ongoing? If it isn't, update as necessary.

5. The images in the "Sights" section should go in a gallery at the bottom of the article.

6. The image and caption of the Riviera Hotel are nothing but free publicity.

7. "Other forms of city partnership": what's the meaning of it?

8. "several towns from Styria region" ... list them!

A Romanian is not allowed to exchange Botswana's currency in this city. 2A02:2F01:F314:8E00:C54F:4D13:B345:F1DD (talk) 01:23, 15 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
