Contradiction

The first sentence says that POWs are non-combatants, but the Qualifications section says that they must be lawful combatants. Jim Michael (talk) 19:03, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I see this is fairly old but doesn’t seem to have been resolved? Could the confusion be that only lawful combatants qualify for POW status upon capture or surrender? OgamD218 (talk) 19:09, 13 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Greek empire?

Surely this should state Roman/Byzantine? 2A04:4A43:50CF:EF1F:C87D:D4A0:37D0:3EBE (talk) 18:25, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Corrected it. The source also makes no mention of "Greek Empire", it only uses "Roman Empire". Alin2808 (talk) 10:05, 19 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Length

Obviously this is a huge topic. The WWII section should probably be trimmed considerably. Prezbo (talk) 08:34, 11 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Should probably get moved to the dedicated article, Prisoners of war in World War II. There already is a "Treatment (of POWs)" section but it's pretty much empty. Alin2808 (talk) 16:13, 11 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
