Background: First year CSE Undergraduate at Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India. I have two years of experience in JAVA, and one year experience in C++ and Python (2 as well as 3). I have worked with various libraries of Python. Project title: Improving VVC (Voice, Video and Chat) Communication
Project details: I'll be using either Python or Java (as approved by the organization) to implement the app, using my own compression algorithm to provide efficient conversation between users.
Synopsis: A user friendly, non-laggy chat application.
Benefits to Debian: An open-source free chat application for the users (unlike Skype and other apps)
Project schedule: I'll start working on it from the beginning of June.

- 15th June - 28st June (2 weeks)
- Working on the front-end of the app.
- 29nd June - 5th July (1 week)
- Working on the compression algorithm.
- 5th July - 26th July (4 weeks)
- Working on the main part of app, ie, VVC communication.
- 27th July - 9th August (2 weeks)
- Database management and other back-end work.
- 10th August - 17th August (1 week)
- Bug fixes and code clean-up.
- 1st June - 9th June (1.5 weeks)

Exams and other commitments: I won’t be available in last two weeks of May as I’ll be having my college exams and for 2nd week of June.
Why Debian?: I'm not much familiar with Debian(but I read a lot of great things about it online).I see it as a great opportunity to start my journey of open-source contribution. I would really like to help Debian Project to make the Debian better. Meanwhile, I'll also learn to work with Debian at the earliest.
My previous Debian contributions: I don't have any contributions to any open-source organisations yet because I'm new to the open-source society, but I believe, working with you will be a great opportunity to get started with the open-source contribution.
