I am a good programmer. When my phone is being lost i search web to find ways to find my phone,
This leads me to think to develop an custom android rom to control power off and radio in the phone.
Anti Theft
Project details: controlling the power off option in the android phone by developing the custom rom and enabling the fake boot option to keep radio in the phone ON, so the mobile phones can be tracked even it is powered off.
Synopsis: controlling the power off option in the android phone by developing the custom rom and enabling the fake boot option to keep radio in the phone ON, so the mobile phones can be tracked even it is powered off.
It is possible to modify the source code so we can add option like fake boot and we can prevent the thief to power off the entire phone.
An os with the name of Debian which is an anti theft
Deliverables: we can trace the switched off phone.
Project schedule: This project will take up to 3 months. We can begin the work at late April
Exams and other commitments: I do have the university exam between SoC period.
Other summer plans: No other summer plans.
Why Debian?: Debian is working with Android, so I choose debian it is possible to create custom android rom. I am pretty happy with debian.
My previous Debian contributions: No previous Debian contributions. This is my first opportunity to work with Debian.
