Background:I am a Third year Computer Engineering student. I have been learning to code in C,C++,java and Javascript. I have being using debian from a year. I like android and would be really interested to see Linux hardware support for mobile device.
Project title:Linux hardware support for one mobile device
Project details:There are many mobile devices in the world running some version of Linux. Unfortunately very few of them are supported by mainline Linux, which means installing Debian on them requires an unsupported version of Linux and sometimes an unsupported bootloader.
Synopsis: Add support to Linux mainline for a mobile device.
Benefits to Debian:We would be seeing debian running on mobile device also.e.g.If we want to run a web-server today, you need a desktop/laptop machine, with debian on mobile you would have portable web-server.Also any UI's you would be able to use and show on the move.This is the same case with mail server also,where we would create our own mail server and keep our mails with us rather than using third party mail services like google,yahoo.This will also protect our private content tracked by the NSA and other organisation by Mass Surveillance. Also, Many peoples don't like to carry laptops with them,where they would easily carry debian on mobile.

Project schedule: how long will the project take? When can you begin work?
Exams and other commitments: My Exam dates are from 17 may to 27 may. And event starting date is also same.But i would do the some work before 17 may.So that i would be ahead of the event schedule and it won't affect my exam also.
Other summer plans:No.
Why Debian?:I have used many distros but always ended by install Debian back.Because less crashes,more stable,reliable.
