Agenda
- Volunteers needed
- take notes and send them to debian-mobile mailing list, IRC and wiki
- take questions from IRC
- Hardware
- that can be supported by Debian (mainline Linux/etc only)
- Librem 5 by Purism, is supposed to release 2019, Zlatan Todorić will give an update (22 slides, yeah!)
- Pocket by GPD, a small Intel Atom PC, can run Debian without much fuss
?PocketChip - does somebody know what is the state of it?
- Pyra handheld (and gaming console), armhf, might be on the market later this year, finally
?ZeroPhone, uses Raspberry Pi Zero, little progress, but still alive: New micro-USB port is not only for charging, but also supports serial console!
- Android hardware: TBD, see last years BoF for now
- other interesting hardware: TBD, see last years BoF for now
- that can be supported by Debian (mainline Linux/etc only)
- GUI/DE
- both GTK/Gnome libs and Qt are enhanced, partly related to Librem 5, e.g. libhandy
- Applications: What needs to be packaged or changed?
Still desperately missing: OSMAnd+ like map application!
- pyLCI will be packaged (#871830) - no progress, partly because of ongoing upstream changes, partly because of DD laziness
- Infrastructure: TBD (same discussion as last year?)
- Do we need a "Debian mobile blend"? (e.g. to squeeze Packages.xz?)
- How can we tell users which applications are supposed to work on mobile devices (e.g. are running fine on a small screen)? Tags?
