DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware.

The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware.

If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware.

You need to install recent firmware:

wget http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/non-free-firmware/f/firmware-sof/firmware-sof-signed_2024.06-2_all.deb
dpkg -i firmware-sof-signed_2024.06-2_all.deb

WiFi

Doesn't work out of the box for Debian 12 bookworm. To make it work you need to install a more recent kernel and firmware. One way to do this is:

# Add backports to apt sources, e.g.
cat > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/bookworm-packports.list<<<_EOF_
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm-backports main contrib non-free non-free-firmware
_EOF_
# Install new kernel/firmware
apt install firmware-iwlwifi/bookworm-backports
apt install linux-image-amd64/bookworm-backports
# reboot
reboot
