DebianOn is an effort to document how to install, configure and use Debian on some specific hardware. Therefore potential buyers would know if that hardware is supported and owners would know how get the best out of that hardware. The purpose is not to duplicate the Debian Official Documentation, but to document how to install Debian on some specific hardware. If you need help to get Debian running on your hardware, please have a look at our user support channels where you may find specific channels (mailing list, IRC channel) dedicated to certain types of hardware. |

Important Note
There is currently a bug that ... Due to the newness of this computer, it works best on Debian Bookworm or later. On Bullseye it works except for the WiFi but on Bookworm everything works. I recommend using RC3 or later Bookworm installer. You will need firmware-misc-nonfree however. Also, apparently as an artifact of the unused built-in AMD graphics, you need the nVidia drivers to get the screen switching to work.
Configuration
Display
?GeForce RTX 3050 HD display works well with Nouveau drivers. However I had problems with Nouveau after upgrading to a newer kernel from a Bullseye install. Install directly to Bookworm - it works better. I haven't tried the nVidia proprietary drivers on a clean Bookworm install but did have problems after trying them on an upgrade from Bullseye.

WiFi
The ?MediaTek 7921 needs a Bookworm or later kernel for reliable operation. There doesn't seem to be a firmware blob that works on Bullseye.
