Priority List
Based on the PriorityList.
1 - "affordable" for both sponsors and attendees
2 - strong, mature, experienced local team
None of us has experience with the DebConf organization. However, we have had great experiences in organizing various free software events, acadeic conferences, and hackathons.
3 - good working spaces
Several indoor tables available in the venue building (2F and 3F). There are many outdoor tables in front of the venue building (Day and Night); depending on the weather they are good as well.
4 - excellent network connectivity
We can use 10 Gbps KOREN uplink. PKNU has the Busan Point of Presence (PoP) of KOREN, with total uplink 100 Gbps. KOREN
5 - quality and quantity of food and drink in close proximity
Lots of restaurants and 24-7 convenience stores nearby the campus.
6 - suitable accommodation in close proximity

Each room has projector and microphones.
8 - travel logistics
See By flight
To Busan (PUS), several direct flights from eastern-asian countries available. To Seoul (ICN), many direct flights from Frankfurt (FRA), Amsterdam (AMS), Los Angeles (LAX) and London (LHR).
9 - accessibility
Wheelchair accessibility is generally available.
Strong points in our bid
Venue rooms and accommodation dormitories are provisionally reserved for DebConf.
- Venue and accommodation are very close.
- Contact point of the venue is willing to organize as a local team; Prof. Ha-Joo Song.
- Experienced team already organized many free software events and academic conferences.
- Busan is friendly to the tourists.
Weak points in our bid
- Accommodation have curfew time; 0100-0500 AM.
- Accommodation do not allow smoking and drinking alcohol in the entire building.
- The weather. Has some possibility to have typhoon.
We don't have experience to organize DebConf previously.
- Language.
