Except in a very few cases, it does Wikipedia little or no damage to have unsuitable content for a few days. Those few cases are really limited to legal issues. Copyright infringements and potentially slanderous or libelous material should be deleted as quickly as it is detected. Everything else does little harm if it not deleted as quickly as possible.
