Why is "Reconquest" in quotes?

The Eastern Roman Empire was reconquering provinces which were once on its domain, isn't that a reconquest? Or are you quoting someone, because it's not necessary there.

Roman mile?

Ten miles from Carthage must mean ten Roman miles, the equivalent of app. 15 km. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maxthedog (talkcontribs) 18:35, 9 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
