I have tried and failed to find dates for Newman's birth and death online; my copy of The World of Mathematics does not have them (being from 1956), and my copy of Goedel's Proof is currently in another state. Any information would be appreciated.

As of Sep. 21, 2010 there is a discrepancy in the article. It states: "In 1888 Newman wrote (with Edward Kasner) Mathematics and the Imagination..". However, Newman's date of birth is listed as 1907. --96.10.96.35 (talk) 15:30, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
