(centi)neper

The presentation of the neper (and centineper) in Template:Diff as a logarithmic unit for financial applications appears to be WP:OR, and I have removed it, since a google search turns up essentially only mirrors of this and related articles on WP. Though logarithmic units are undoubtedly elegant in this context, the adoption of the neper as such a unit for this context seems not to have become standard. The ISO 80000-3 standard defines this unit differently for energy-related phenomena in such a way that in other contexts it is essentially ambiguous or undefined, making it problematic to treat it as a logarithmic unit for unrelated quantities such as currency value. —Quondum 17:05, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
