Significance?

It would be cool if articles like this had a sentence or two explaining overall significance or use. I even have some math background and still don't know (or remember :-) ) why this is article-worthy. What about people who hit this by "random page"? BTW, who is Bromwich? Dutch article

Hmm, I don't know Dutch, but the Dutch article is a lot m|ore informative. Maybe a Dutch speaker would like to volunteer to translate? Phys —Preceding undated comment added 20:20, 13 August 2003 (UTC).Reply

Lacking in Content

It's unfortunate that such a commonly used operation doesn't have a good Wikipedia entry. I'll start working on this page and hopefully add a section describing the inverse transform and the Bromwich integral in a clearer and more useful way. I'll also try to add a section on convolutions and the theta function too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gmcastil (talkcontribs) 23:07, 26 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

I propose to merge Post's inversion formula into Inverse Laplace transform. The former article is just one of the multiple ways to invert a Laplace transform and since it is not so big, I think that it should be moved entirely to this article. Saung Tadashi (talk) 05:40, 2 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
