Is the title of this article in error?

Yes. My error. This has been redirected to maple syrup and the two articles have been integrated. --user:jaknouse

Sweetness

I removed the claim that maple sugar is twice as sweet as (table) sugar. Table sugar is 100% sucrose, and maple sugar is 90% or more sucrose with the remainder being sugars whose sweetness roughly averages out to the same as sucrose. The reference is a how-to article on about.com with no supporting references. I left the part about using maple sugar in place of sucrose, since it's at least reasonable, though the reference is the same unreliable web page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paleolith (talkcontribs) 06:43, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
