The Department of Mayenne is not under the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Diocese of Le Mans. Mayenne is coincident with the Diocese of Laval, established in 1855 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholic_Diocese_of_Laval .
