Script error: No such module "user". Hey guys. I've been a member of Wikipedia since February, but just really started to actively get involved with the community in recent months. I was curious to see what people thought of my contributions and what suggestions they could possibly give so I can improve and diversify my outreach.

Reviews

  • You're off to a good start! I'd suggest that you consider placing more messages on article talk pages, especially when making major changes: it's very useful to know the reasoning behind peoples' actions, and with such a tiny proportion of your edits being made to talk pages, it'd be great to see your involvement increase there. That said, since your contributions to articles appear to be mostly categorisation and vandal-fighting, you might be interested in other maintenance projects such as AfD debates or even recent change patrol - and NewPage Patrol especially, since dozens of uncategorised, unstubbed and unwikified articles are created every hour. You're doing well, and I look forward to seeing more of you around. RandyWang (chat me up/fix me up) 02:22, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
I am particularly pleased with my contributions corresponding to the area of baseball. I have created articles, categories, added MLB player templates for players on MLB teams. I also am pleased with my anti-vandalism revertions in my conquest (with others, of course) to put an end to vandalism on Wikipedia. As of late, I have been trying to contribute to various sections in Wikipedia, such as in AfD, CoTW, specific Wikiprojects, and reporting users for vandalism to admins. If I was too choose a specific article I am pleased about, it would have to be the one I made on Ton Duc Thang, which I created just from searching Vietnamese history on Wikipedia and looking at his very short bio on other online encyclopedias.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Some users have gotten really angry at my vandalism revertions and have gone as far as to use expletives against me or even vandalize my user page. Unlike many people, this actually provides me with entertainment. It gives me some good laughs. :-P However, I have had some users complain about warnings I gave them regarding vandalism, and I feel that I have tried to the best of my ability to deal with it in a professional manner.
