Sentence has been removed as it seemed confusing, it was text moved from the original vernier height gauge page (pre redirect). It's been replaced with a link to calipers for a fuller description. Vernier height gauge has been restored as a dedicated article. This page can be used to expand on the other usages of the plain height gauge. Graibeard 12:14, 8 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
