NPOV?

This article is very opinionated. While it's not mean or demeaning it doesn't even attempt to have a neutral point of view. Someone might have to come in and rewrite the whole thing but I would hope that the original author would do it him/herself.

Controversy?

There's no controversy surrounding the 2004 Belmont. The pace was an honest :48. Smarty Jones took the lead and nearly had it (despite his slow finish) had it not been for Birdstone. Stewart Elliot said as much himself after the race. Bailey and Solis were following the best horse in the field. The article, found at http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2004/jun/14/columnist-ralph-siraco-smarty-jones-fans-cry-foul-/ includes quotes from upset fans, which happens after every single horse race in the world. There is no credence behind any "controversy" besides this one article about some angry fans. I'm removing the section. I question the motive behind including this in Jerry Bailey's biography as well as Smarty Jones'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thoroughgreg (talkcontribs) 17:59, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Since there was a citation to the controversy, I question *your* motive in reverting the article, which is against WP policy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.132.218.4 (talk) 19:29, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Category designation ?

He is given the Category: American horse racing announcers. Would he not be properly described as: American horse racing commentators? Same thing for his partner in crime, John M. Veitch? Stretchrunner (talk) 15:48, 2 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
