Template:Talkheader

Colours

I've edited the table of suggested colours replacing bgcolor #RGB by #rrggbb, because at least one legacy browser shows the former as black on black. It doesn't affect actual usages of this template, legacy browsers don't support CSS. Omniplex 04:08, 27 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Popular Sites

How about putting a link to google like

http://www.google.com/search?q=site:{{name}}

this would give you a list of popular sites under that TLD AdamJacobMuller 17:45, 11 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Somewhat dubious, an external link in an infobox used for all TLDs to one of many search engines probably isn't neutral. Omniplex  02:41, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
well, are there other search engines that do this, AFAIK google is the only one, in this respect it is in accordance with WP:EL since it definitely offers something that would be impossible to duplicate on wikipedia. I just suggested google because it was on the top of my head, any search engine would work really. AdamJacobMuller 04:08, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I propose to add Template:Tl as I did for .uk. 16@r 00:21, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Number of registered domains

Most ccTLD's have statistics about the number of registered domains. Others, such as .com, can be easily found.[1] A specific line could be added, as in the following example:

Script error: No such module "Infobox".Template:Template other
Template:Reflist Three parameters could be added: registereddomains, dateregistereddomains and refregistereddomains. In the example they would be

registereddomains=281,000
dateregistereddomains=Apr 2010
refregistereddomains=<ref>{{cite web|author=NIC Chile|title=Estadísticas de nombres de dominio en .CL|url=http://nic.cl/stat/inscritos.html|accessdate=17 May 2010}}</ref>

Extra space at top of page

This template appears to be adding unsightly extra white space at the top of the pages where it is used. I took a look at the code of the template, but I am not knowledgeable enough about the intricacies of templates to figure out why it does that. Take a look at any page that transcludes this template and you will see too much space at the top of the page. Let's close it up! •••Life of Riley (TC) 23:47, 21 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please take a look to the page now. Did I fix the problem? -- Kaaa (talk) 01:27, 22 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yes! Looks much better now. Thank you. •••Life of Riley (TC) 01:50, 22 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

dnssec argument issue

When the template is used with the dnssec argument, strange things may happen. In this specific case, replacing the : indentation with the proper template fixed the page, but it appears that using the dnssec argument was causing it. — Mar(c). 11:38, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Background not used

The Template:Para field is no longer used, but is still present in infoboxes. Can the Check for unknown parameters module be added?--Auric talk 12:48, 20 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Has anyone followed up on this? - Buckaboob Bonsai (talk) 20:58, 1 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

New field for WHOIS policy

A new field could be added. The tld's policy about WHOIS. – 59.93.200.212 (talk) 09:45, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Type parameter

The template should probably enforce specific values for Template:Param so that the template can set the Template:Tl to match. — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 07:32, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
