Why Homograph attack ? surely the term should be Homoglyph attack as it's individual characters that are being changed, rather then the entire set. 80.43.86.208 (talk) 13:53, 1 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

The n00bs anwer, simply put — we do call it a machine gun attack, not being bulleted to death, but any such a recipient is entitled to disagree. (I hate coming up with a snappy quip after everyone has left.)

I vote against merging the two. While an IDN homograph attack uses the exact same principles, one can still perform a homograph spoofing attack without using a domain name (like, say, on a forum where UTF-8 is used). --Tokachu 04:09, 29 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
