Virginity evidence

Of course, the verse cited is not "explicitly clear" that Mary was a virgin. That is an assumption. The verse only says that Joseph had not had sexual relations with her, leaving open exactly the possibility that he feared when in verse 19 he planned to "put her away privily." --Blainster 23:39, 8 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
