Template:WikiProject banner shell This article should be substantially changed, because it is obsolete. From the point of view of invariant Hamiltonian formalism, the Peierls bracket is just a particular case of the regular Poisson bracket.

I don't even know what the "action of some quantity on another" means.. please could you be more explicit?
