To enable superscript on Wikipedia, the tags <sup> and </sup> are used.

Chemistry uses both sub and super script. E.g. H2O2 or Fe2+ --2mcmGespräch 21:05, 11 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I mentioned another possible reference to "superscript". The reverse transcriptase in question is one of the most popular enzymes used for this purpose - refs av. on request.
