It might be cool to plot # of Featured Articles on the same graph, since it would fit naturally alongside # of words per article... +sj + 01:12, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

If anyone's going to update this it would be nice to see comparison on a static set of articles, say cutting off the creation date at a various specific points to see how much the avg article is increasing in size since then. In other words what is the average number of words for articles created before Jan 1 2003, Jan 1, 2004, etc. My assumption is that the average new article is much smaller than a developed article, and taking newly created articles out of the picture would add an important dimension and usefullness to the study of the number of words per article. - Taxman Talk 19:06, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I wish Wikipedia would update the average for words per article. There is 3 full years of data missing. Almost 4 now. Graphs are nicer than looking at raw data. --Monkey225 (talk) 10:10, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
